Connect training to role requirements and competence evidence—not attendance alone

QSigma360 is developing QSigma360 Training as a standalone product connecting job requirements with content, assignment, assessment, and evidence of competence. The target vision helps an organization understand who needs what, which content version they used, how they were assessed, and when renewal is due. It is not currently ready as a complete production training workflow.

Who is it planned for?

The product is planned for learning, quality, food-safety, and human-resources teams; procedure owners; trainers; and assessors—particularly where competence affects product quality, food safety, or process reliability. It also targets multisite organizations needing a unified matrix with role- and location-specific requirements.

The problem and the intended value

Attendance does not demonstrate ability. Gaps appear when a role changes, a procedure becomes effective, or a certificate expires while spreadsheets remain disconnected from documents and assessments. The result is inaccurate assignment and limited visibility into who is qualified.

The target vision connects each requirement to a role, content version, due date, assessment, result, and reviewed evidence. Profile data, read-and-acknowledge elements, and selected AI assistance are related capabilities available today, while the integrated Training and Competency product remains on the roadmap.

Six target capabilities

  1. 1Role-based competence requirements: Define the knowledge, skills, courses, controlled documents, and assessments required for each job or quality-critical task.
  2. 2Filterable training matrix: Bring together people, requirements, assignments, completion, and expiry, with visibility by site, department, role, and status.
  3. 3Plans, content, and assignments: Support a controlled document, instructor-led session, practical training, video, or approved external source while retaining the content version used.
  4. 4Controlled read and acknowledge: Connect acknowledgement with user identity, document version, and completion time without automatically treating it as competence evidence.
  5. 5Tests and practical assessment: Define pass thresholds, attempts, retraining, and skill evaluation by an authorized trainer or assessor.
  6. 6Certificates, renewal, and gap visibility: Track validity, expiry, requalification, and outstanding needs in training reports after the product is completed.

Target workflow

  1. 1Define the role, required knowledge and skills, and evidence method.
  2. 2Compare requirements with the person’s current status and identify gaps.
  3. 3Assign the correct content version, deadline, and completion method.
  4. 4Deliver training and capture attendance, acknowledgement, test, or practical assessment.
  5. 5Have an authorized person review evidence and confirm the result.
  6. 6Monitor expiry, renewal, and changes that create new requirements.

Planned integration and governance

The vision connects with QSigma360 Documents, Change Control, HACCP, Audits, CAPA, and Risk Management. A new procedure could identify affected groups, while an audit may reveal retraining needs. AI may suggest draft objectives or questions, but it will not determine competence, approve results, or issue certificates. Authorized assessors, evidence, and policy remain decisive.

Frequently asked questions

Is QSigma360 Training available now?

No. It is a standalone roadmap product; its operating lifecycle and integrations are not complete at production level.

What exists today?

Profile data, read-and-acknowledge elements, and selected AI assistance exist, but they are related capabilities—not an integrated training and competence system.

Does acknowledgement prove competence?

Not automatically. It proves access or reading; competence requires the evidence method defined by policy, such as a test or practical observation.

Will AI award certificates?

No. It may suggest draft content or questions, but it cannot approve results, issue certificates, or replace an authorized assessor.
