Industries | Frozen Foods

Primary Market — capabilities depend on enabled modules and configuration

Keep lot, cold-chain evidence, and quality disposition in one path

Frozen-food quality starts before the freezer, with supplier, material, and processing conditions, and continues through freezing, packing, storage, and transport. QSigma360 connects food-safety records, monitoring, lots, suppliers, holds, CAPA, and traceability so teams can understand the event, affected scope, and response without rebuilding the story from files and messages. Technical limits, evaluation, and product release remain human decisions based on the product, process, and approved requirements.

Quality and operations staff in a frozen-food facility

Who is it for?

It is designed for frozen fruit and vegetables, meals, bakery products, meat and poultry, seafood, and other frozen-food manufacturers, together with connected freezer stores and distribution operations. It supports quality, food-safety, production, engineering, warehouse, logistics, procurement, and customer-service teams. Products, lines, freezer rooms, suppliers, customers, lots, and roles can be configured by site, family, or stage, with each user limited to authorized information and actions.

Monitoring a modern freezing line from a safe area

Where does the evidence gap widen?

Raw-material condition may be recorded at receiving, freezing criteria on an operating sheet, warehouse temperature in another system, pack inspection in a spreadsheet, and a thawing complaint in email. When a deviation occurs, teams need to know which lots were exposed, what remains or shipped, and which evidence supports disposition. QSigma360 joins relationships, ownership, time, and attachments in a reviewable record without claiming to be a temperature device or to preserve the cold chain by itself.

Six capabilities for the frozen-product journey

Inspecting raw materials at chilled receiving

1. Documented material, supplier, and receiving

Connect suppliers, materials, specifications, documents, and assessments with available receiving and inspection results. Record lot, quantity, time, condition, and attachments, opening a nonconformance or SCAR when acceptance requirements are not met. A scorecard never makes the decision automatically; authorized people review context, risk, and policy.

Documenting a control observation in preparation and freezing

2. Connected HACCP and process controls

Structure process flow, hazard analysis, and PRP, OPRP, or CCP decisions under the approved plan, linking monitoring to line, product, and lot. A deviation can connect to correction, hold, nonconformance, or CAPA. QSigma360 does not approve the plan or select controls in place of the food-safety team.

Reviewing frozen-storage conditions

3. Cold-chain records from their sources

Record or connect authorized freezing, storage, loading, and transport conditions with time, location, lot, and source. Those relationships support scope evaluation and source review. Automatic capture and immediate alerts are available only through enabled and validated integrations and functions; they are not general default capabilities.

Reviewing frozen-product packaging and labels

4. Controlled packaging, labeling, and change

Control package specifications, labels, storage instructions, versions, and effective dates. Link a material, design, or declaration change to affected products and reviews. Change Control records impact assessment, implementation, and verification and does not authorize implementation before required approvals are complete.

Frozen-food lot segregated under quality hold

5. Evidence-based hold, disposition, and CAPA

Identify product, lot, quantity, location, and hold reason, then document containment, investigation, decision, and action. Connect nonconformance, CAPA, effectiveness review, and reopening where response is insufficient. Release, rework, or destruction remains governed human action, never an automatic system or AI decision.

Scanning a lot in organized frozen storage

6. Traceability, complaints, and mock recall

Follow materials, lots, processing, packing, storage, shipment, and customers using available data. Connect a thawing, package, or quality complaint to the lot and investigation. A mock recall records scope, quantities, reconciliation, communications, and gaps, but it is not a real recall and carries no fixed-time guarantee.

Connected products and modules

QSigma360 Food Safety provides plan, monitoring, and deviation context, while QSigma360 Quality Management connects nonconformance, CAPA, complaints, and change. Documents and Supplier Quality govern specifications and external evidence, supported by Audit, Traceability, and reporting. Training and Risk requirements may be recorded where supported, while their standalone lifecycles remain incomplete.

Governance and boundaries

QSigma360 is not a freezer-control system or a replacement for instruments, maintenance, or response procedures. It governs evidence, workflow, permissions, and activity history, and every integration or data source must be validated before reliance. It does not award certification or guarantee compliance, shelf life, or recall success. AI may help draft a summary or investigation questions only, always under human review and approval.

Workflow from the governing content

The path in six steps

  1. 1

Configure context: Define products, specifications, suppliers, lines, storage locations, and customers.

  2. 2

Receive and inspect: Connect material, lot, time, condition, and approved acceptance results.

  3. 3

Frequently asked questions

Can warehouse readings be linked to each lot?

Records and conditions can be connected to location, period, and lots according to the configured data model and procedures. Automatic capture requires a separate validated integration.

Can the system manage cold-chain deviations?

It supports documented deviation, scope, hold, investigation, action, and evidence. Technical evaluation and disposition remain with authorized specialists.

Can package and label changes be controlled?

Yes. Document Control and Change Control can connect versions, effective dates, affected products, and required reviews.

Does QSigma360 guarantee a successful mock recall?

No. It organizes scenario, data, reconciliation, and gaps, while the outcome depends on data accuracy, procedures, and team execution.
